Kavya Ramani, a sophomore at Herricks High School, finds writing to be her favorite way of expressing her thoughts and experiences. Through her stories, she captures emotions and the beauty of human connection.Beyond writing, Kavya explores many creative passions — painting, crafting, singing, dancing, choreography, and acting. She is also a dedicated student of the classical Indian dance form, Kathak.

During the lockdown, Kavya wrote, directed, and produced a short film titled Stay Safe, using creativity to spread awareness and positivity. Her curiosity and drive to explore new art forms continue to inspire her journey as a multifaceted young creator.
